1. When I look at this picture I think the photographer was trying to portray a young lost girl, lost in thought. In the picture he makes her the focus he places her directly in the center of the picture. He also made the picture black and white to capture all the lights and darks of the picture. In the picture you can see that the light is only hitting her from one side, but she is mostly in the shadows of the building. I feel like the photographer is trying to make the picture seem old by taking it in black and white, because when cameras were first invented there was no such thing as colored photos. I think the story is about a young innocent girl who is thinking about something. It looks as if she's lost in thought. The feel like maybe she's daydreaming of someday getting out, because the bars and doors remind me of an old slum, or maybe a motel. I think that the picture is also trying to portray that she is naive to whats going on around her because her facial expression doesn't reveal any harsh emotions. The emotion evoked inside of me is curiosity, because I'm wondering what she's thinking about and where she is. I'm wondering if it's where she lives, or maybe just a place she goes to think. I think this picture would be good for a mini saga because you can make or see any story you want. I think this image is significant because I feel like a lot of people would be able to relate to this picture because everyone daydreams, or gets lost in thought. The photographer has captured something that everyone can relate to. I think he used space and balance to make the girl subjective to the audience. He used value to portray the mood with all the darks and only one stream of light hitting her face. This makes the audience feel like something serious is going on because it's not a bright and cheery photo. The way he angled the photo was unique it took it from an angle but had it straight on. I think if he had taken the picture directly across from her it wouldn't have justified the mood he was trying to portray. I like how you can tell that there's more then one walkway and how the balcony she's sort of standing on stretches past her because it makes you wonder what else there is. The photographer burned the edges just enough to draw your eye in directly to the girl in the photo.

2. He has sort of simplified the background and took the picture up close to show that the lady holding the baby and her expression is important. The viewers of this picture are definitely subjective because the photographer sets a mood that portrays the photo in one way.
Looking at the image and thinking what was done technically to convey the meaning and mood of this image I see that
The photographer in this photo used the scenery and the baby to his advantage. Because it looks as if there in a dry desert like area. If the picture were just of the woman then it wouldn't have been as emotional because people have a soft spot for babies and animals. For example when you here about something happening to a young child on the news versus something happening to man, the baby story is more tragic its more newsworthy and emotional. The lighting is very strong in this image there are not many dark areas although uses the light almost ironically because the mood is still not happy or cheerful. I noticed how the baby has his face snuggled into the woman away from the sunlight to show how harsh the weather is. The fact that he took a picture of a baby in this type of environment says that he's really calling for attention.
What is the mood of this image? I think the mood is harsh and intense my heart dropped when I saw it because there' s this woman who looks overworked holding a baby that isn't well covered out in a hot dry environment.
What is the photographer saying or what story is being told here? I think this photograph in a way represents many women in the world today because notice how it's a woman holding the baby and not a man. Woman now a days have a lot of repsonsibility with careers housework, sports for their children, and there husbands. I think is is showing how woman are overworked and he is exaggerating what he is trying to portray. Because when you see a woman on the go with a baby and a minivan you don't really think twice, but if every over worked woman looked like this walking around people would take a lot more notice. The emotion that is evoked inside of me is sad me heart drops a little looking at this image because of the living circumstances. You can tell that this woman is in her environment. The technical process that the artist had to do to achieve this picture was allow less light in by changing the depth of field and the exposure by changing the f stop on his camera. He had to take the picture up close, but at the same time he made sure that his horizon was perfectly balanced.

3.
Looking at this image I can see that the artist used implied diagonals and space to technically convey the meaning and mood of this image. What is the mood of this image? I think the mood of this image is urban and poor, but full of life. I think the story of this image is about the overall big picture because he makes the boys running across the street so small. As if they are not important. I also think that because he took the picture from above them that the audience is forced to look down upon them. When I see this picture I think of three hoodlums or thieves. I also noticed how he took the picture of them walking across the street where there is no cross walk or light which makes me think they are careless. The emotion that is evoked inside of me is a sort of sad anger because in one light I feel bad for people that don't know any better, but in another light I feel like they should no better and that they don't try to help themselves. I also noticed that he didn't use three white boys, they are clearly all colored. Therefore I feel like he is almost mocking most peoples stereotypes. I think this picture is very stereotypical and subjective to the viewer. Using my knowledge on framing, angles, elements/principles of design, placement and lighting this image is a significant image because it represents how most people view other people now a days or how people are racist. He uses space and implied diagonals and its very well balanced and spaced out. It leads your eyes in and all the way down until you cannot see any farther. I like how the picture was left in color because it's very colorful and it has contrast with the green and life against the buildings, sidewalk, and street.

4.Looking at this self portrait I can see what the artist did to technically convey the meaning and mood of the image. He made the mood light and cheery. People are naturally curious about other people I think he did a good job of this because most older people always have really cool stories to tell and since people are naturally curious about other people the fact that he used in older person in a self portrait was smart. The mood in this image I feel is light and happy. The woman is smiling but not looking directly at her viewers. It's almost as if she's looking and playfully smirking saying, "I know something you don't know". What is the photographer saying or what story is being told here? I think the way that the artist has the older woman looking is a way of saying older people have more wisdom then most because they have lived a longer life. The way her gray hairs are just starting to come through show just prove his point even more. The emotion evoked inside of me is happy because when I look at this picture I see an older woman who is happy and content and is proud of who she is. I think she is the type of person that can wake up, look at herself in the mirror and be happy with what she sees. Since it is a portrait the artist must have done this picture in a studio of some sort, therefore the used angles, lighting the brighten the picture. He used and high depth of field because you can clearly see her face and every line and wrinkle in it. I think his exposure was perfect because the photo looks very natural and all the lights and darks look how they should.

5.
When I look at this image the artist used value and contrast in this picture, the way he had himself stand up against the wall wearing dark colors. The mood is a thought I think. It's really self reflection. It's the artist himself, a portrait of himself, looking down on himself. He's self-evaluating himself, almost as if he is knit-picking himself. The mood of this picture I think is very judgmental, because he's judging himself. I think the story behind this image is that he's a very strong person because he's judging himself. I think more people need to self evaluate and reflect because not enough people do. Many people in the world feel superior to others therefore they don't want to look within themselves for a problem, they want to find all there problems in other people. What emotion is evoked inside of you? The emotion that is evoked inside of me is hurt or sad because maybe he's judging himself on how he was before. Because in the picture it looks like too completely different people. When he is lying down he looks sick and depressed, and helpless. But then when he is standing he looks successful strong and well-minded, but at the same time I feel like he's looking down on himself. I think overall this artist did a good job as a self-portrait, they way he took the picture head on forcing the viewer and himself to "face" the image. He is perceiving himself through lighting, and contrast and light as subject matter as two different people literally.
